Les shiso sont les feuilles de la plante p\u00e9rilla, une herbe de la famille de la menthe. L'herbe est originaire des hautes terres de Chine et d'Inde, mais la plante se trouve maintenant dans le monde entier. En Chine, l'herbe est connue sous le nom de\u00a0z\u01d0s\u016b,\u00a0<\/i>qui est l'origine du nom japonais de l'herbe :\u00a0shiso.\u00a0<\/i>Ce nom est aussi celui qui est le plus utilis\u00e9 dans les cuisines internationales. Le shiso existe en diff\u00e9rentes couleurs, dont nous produisons le type pourpre et bicolore.<\/p>\n

Dans la cuisine japonaise, le shiso est largement utilis\u00e9 comme garniture ou sous des formes marin\u00e9es. Cependant, m\u00eame dans les meilleures cuisines des Pays-Bas, les chefs aiment utiliser notre Shiso de nombreuses fa\u00e7ons.
